AutoCAD was first introduced in the month of December in 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. It helps in assessing the cost of various products which aids in managing various activities. This application allows sharing of files with multiple people, no matter how large the file. The errors in this software are really less compared to others, so it is accurate in many aspects. Initially AutoCAD was derived from a program called Interact, which was written in a proprietary language. It has a user- friendly interface and saves time, which are great advantages to designers. It has been an asset for the 3D design industry for more than 30 years. They are also adopted as a skill development application for a graduate-level of education. In electrical engineering, it is used to map out electrical systems, and in civil engineering, it is used to design bridges and roads. It has evolved to become one of the most sophisticated design tools in the industry these days.
